Following his arrest, the Liberal Democrat party suspended Mr. Thomas. This means he cannot act as a party representative while police investigate.
Police in Gloucestershire arrested Mr. Thomas, who is 43 years old, on Wednesday, June 17. He has since been released on police bail.
The police investigation into these allegations is still active. The party stated they cannot comment further at this time.
Mr. Thomas represents the Tewkesbury area in Parliament. He became an MP in 2024.
